May 2017

On Cinco de Mayo, Todd picked Becky up early from work to ride bikes to Kingman Island Park -- the place where they had their first date -- and he got down on one knee and proposed!

April 2016

To make it through the winter months they trained for a 10-miler together. They finished the race, but decided never to run that far at one time ever again.

August 2016

That summer they spent an incredible week traveling in Ireland with Becky's parents! Learning about the Book of Kells, drinking Guinness, wandering around the Burren, instructing sheep dogs (kind of), surviving choppy seas to the Aran Islands, listening to fiddles, flutes and spoons, and writing limericks.

December 2015

Todd invited Becky to his company Christmas party at the Josephine Butler Parks Center (where they will be getting married on January 6th!). This is where he first called her his "girlfriend".

August 2015

Becky invited Todd to the Arboretum to look at the Bonsai trees and talk about a book she was reading called Culture Care. Todd introduced her to the poetry of Billy Collins. Sparks started to fly.

March 2017

Becky and Todd kicked off their 2017 wedding season with two weddings -- one in Tyler, TX and another in Richmond, VA the following weekend. In Texas, Becky caught the bouquet! Some wedding superstitions end up working out...

June 2015

They biked sixty miles together from D.C. to Harper's Ferry. Becky charmed Todd with her "Big Nose" voice and Todd impressed her by riding his single speed the entire way. They had a blast playing games, tubing with friends, and getting to know each other better.

February 2015

Becky and Todd met for the first time on a hike with friends on the Billy Goat Trail at Great Falls. Little did they know that this brief encounter would eventually lead to them becoming friends, then dating, and now getting married!
